Natural History Museum
Dear Year 4 Parents/Carers,
As part of their Geography learning about Mountains, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, the children in Year 4 will be visiting the National History Museum on Wednesday 3rd July 2024. We will be travelling by coach into London.
Whilst at the museum, the children have the opportunity to explore the Volcanoes and Earthquakes zone, as well as take part in an interactive workshop called ‘Emergency! Volcanoes and Earthquakes’ to support their learning.
Date: Wednesday 3rd July 2024.
Please be advised the children will return to Hilltop at approximately 16:30. Please collect your child from their classroom door, as normal.
Cost: £17.72 per pupil – paid via Schoolcomms
If your child is entitled to free school meals, we have automatically reduced this cost for you on
schoolcomms. If you experience any difficulty with payment, please speak to the school office in confidence.
Lunch: Children will require a pack lunch in a named disposable bag with a refillable water bottle
Additional information: Children are to wear full school uniform with trainers or plimsolls.
We really want this worthwhile experience to go ahead, however this does depend on all parents making the £17.72 voluntary contribution. We will review the contributions we have received before 22nd May 2024. If parents have not made a contribution, the office will need to contact you before we can make a decision about whether the visit can go ahead. It is for this reason that we would really appreciate you letting us know if you are unable to make this voluntary contribution.
Payments to be made by Wednesday 22nd May – Please pay via Schoolcomms.
If you have any questions please contact the school office.
Thank you.
