Spanish

At Hilltop we use the 'Language Angels' scheme to teach the language of Spanish across the school. This scheme provides a relevant, broad and ambitious foreign language curriculum that inspires and excites our pupils set in the context of a wide variety of topics and themes.

The four key language learning skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing and all grammar are taught in an age-appropriate way across the primary phase. There is a clear progression map which outlines the skills and knowledge within in each unit. The scheme provides different levels of challenge and stretch to ensure pupils learn effectively, continuously building their knowledge and enthusiasm for the language they are learning.
